|Welcome to the 2012 Training Season!|
Please find a link to the training calendar for 2012 on the right. Requests to participate in training courses may be submitted to the training officer (Bernhard Koch: firstname.lastname@example.org) using the course nomination form (included in the Training Calendar document, towards the end, page 67).
The NSW RURAL FIRE SERVICE (NSW RFS) offers members a wide range of training opportunities at various levels. There is training available for members who are new to the Service through to those who have been members for many years. These opportunities are outlined in the Training Calender.
All members are encouraged to take the time to look through the calendar and consider participating in at least one of the opportunities presented. NSW RFS training is developmental and you can move from mainstream training to more advanced, specialist training as your experience with the Service develops.
The training that is offered covers a range of areas including firefighting, communications, first aid, leadership and incident management. The NSW RFS is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and the majority of training with the NSW RFS is linked to national qualifications so, through your successful participation in NSW RFS training, you can gain qualifications that you can use outside the Service.
